First off, I chose Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th president of the United States. This is my final

Final

Pictures used:I started the project out with a rough digital sketch. I first found some of the pictures i wanted to use for the project which were the first 3 i put up in the “pictures used” section i made the selections, cut out the pictures and placed them where i wanted. For the text i decided to use “Speak softly and carry a big stick.” because that was his motto. Heres the rough digital sketch:

After i finished the rough digital sketch i knew i had to do something with the background. So i went out and found a political cartoon of Teddy, put it as the background, and put it on the blending mode overlay. Afterward

Posted in Digital Design on March 2, 2010 by dleroy89

Project 1- Logo

For my logo i decided to go with a global warming logo design i came up with for the website www.globalwarming.org, which is a website with information on the effects of global warming. I decided to go with a design where the earth is a drop of water over puddle bellow it. I decided to make the continents blue on most of the designs because it makes it look more like a droplet of but it’s still recognizable as the earth. Overall I’m pretty happy with my results.

Here are edits of my black and white and my favorite after class critique

(CE- 5: sketches for logo) Here’s some of the initial sketches i did, and the final design i ended up using came from these sketches.

CE-6: Type Manipulation

Posted in Digital Design on February 1, 2010 by dleroy89

For this exercise we had to take a letter and manipilate it to form different shapes, I chose the letter V and here are my resluts:

The one I like most:It’s fairly simple but i like the way the design came out.
